Rajeev Shukla, the vice-president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and a Member of Parliament, along with Ashish Shelar, former BCCI treasurer, will represent India at the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). This announcement was made by BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia.
Rajeev Shukla will serve on the ACC Board of Directors, while Ashish Shelar will be an Executive Board Member. Their appointments follow Jay Shah’s move to become the Chair of the International Cricket Council, which created a vacancy for India’s representation on the ACC board.
Devajit Saikia expressed the BCCI’s best wishes to both Shukla and Shelar, emphasizing the ACC’s role in developing and strengthening cricket across Asia.
It is anticipated that Mohsin Naqvi from Pakistan will take over the leadership of the ACC in the next cycle.
