Dhanashree Verma, a choreographer and social media influencer, has been in the news lately due to her rumored divorce with Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal. Divorce rumors have been circulating for some time, fueled by cryptic social media posts from both Chahal and Dhanashree. Several media outlets reported that the divorce was already finalized, but Dhanashree’s lawyer has refuted these claims.
Dhanashree’s lawyer, Aditi Mohan, stated, ‘I have no comments on the proceedings, as the matter is currently under judicial consideration. The media should verify facts before reporting because much misleading information is being spread.’
On Monday, Dhanashree shared a cryptic message on her Instagram story: ‘Blaming women is always in fashion.’
Earlier, Yuzvendra Chahal was seen at the Champions Trophy final with RJ Mahvash. Interestingly, some social media users linked Dhanashree’s cryptic post to Yuzvendra Chahal, while others connected it to the online harassment she has been experiencing.
Previously, reports suggested a divorce with claims that Dhanashree demanded Rs 60 crore in alimony from Chahal. However, a statement from Dhanashree’s family, published by various media sources, strongly denied these rumors and cautioned against spreading misinformation.
The family statement expressed outrage at the unfounded alimony claims, stating, ‘Let us be clear—no such amount has ever been requested, demanded, or even offered. These rumors are completely untrue. Publishing such unverified information is irresponsible, involving not only the concerned individuals but also their families in unnecessary speculation. Such reckless reporting is harmful, and we urge the media to exercise restraint, verify facts before spreading misinformation, and respect everyone’s privacy.’
