New Zealand’s 22-year-old fast bowler Zak Foulkes has joined Durham for the T20 Blast tournament. Foulkes, who debuted in April 2024, has already played eight international white-ball matches, seven of them in T20Is, where he took 9 wickets with an average of 26.33, with a best of 3 for 20 against Sri Lanka.
Foulkes has experience in the Vitality Blast, having played seven matches for the Birmingham Bears last summer, taking eight wickets.
Foulkes himself and Director of Cricket Marcus North expressed enthusiasm about his joining Durham, noting his dynamism and potential in the T20 format. North emphasized that Foulkes brings a unique difference to the team’s bowling attack.
