Indian cricket star Virat Kohli believes India has a team capable of dominating world cricket for the next eight years. This statement comes after India’s impressive victory against New Zealand in the Champions Trophy final in Dubai.
Speaking after the match, Kohli highlighted the team’s bright future. “When you step away, you want to leave the team stronger. I believe we have built a squad that is prepared to compete at the highest level for the next eight years,” he stated. He praised the performances of young players like Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, and Hardik Pandya.
Kohli also mentioned that this Champions Trophy win was a welcome comeback after their previous Test series loss in Australia. “This victory is incredible. We aimed to bounce back after a challenging tour in Australia and to win a major tournament. Achieving this is an amazing feeling,” Kohli added.
During the celebrations with Shubman Gill, Kohli spoke about nurturing young talent. “There is immense talent within this team. These players are striving to elevate their game, and the senior players are here to support them by sharing our experiences.
