The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has nominated Rajeev Shukla and Ashish Shellar to represent them on the Asian Cricket Council.

Rajeev Shukla, with his extensive experience within the Indian cricket administration, including his tenure as IPL chairman, will serve as an Executive Member on the ACC board, representing the BCCI.

Ashish Shellar, who has contributed to the Mumbai Cricket Association and served as BCCI treasurer, will take up the position of Ex-Officio Board Member.

These appointments follow Jay Shah’s promotion to Chairman of the ICC.

The immediate priorities for the ACC board include the planning and execution of the Asia Cup, provisionally scheduled for September in the T20 format.

As previously reported by Cricbuzz, the ACC has decided to host the Asia Cup in a neutral venue, despite the BCCI remaining the official hosts. This decision is reflective of the current India-Pakistan relations.

ACC officials are reportedly considering Sri Lanka and the UAE as potential locations for the tournament.

The current cycle includes four Asia Cups leading up to 2031. Following the 2025 edition (19 matches), Bangladesh will host the 2027 edition (13 matches) in ODI format. Subsequently, a T20 format Asia Cup (19 matches) is planned with the PCB as hosts, but it will be held in a neutral country. Finally, the 2031 edition, in ODI format (13 matches), is scheduled to take place in Sri Lanka.
