Sri Lanka is set to host India and South Africa for a Women’s ODI Tri-Series in April and May. This was confirmed on Thursday, March 6th.
The series, a double round-robin tournament culminating in a final, will serve as preparation for the ODI World Cup in India later this year.
The tri-series begins on April 27th with a match between the hosts and the Harmanpreet Kaur-led Indian team. Each team will play four group matches, after which the top two teams will compete in the final on May 11th.
All games will be day matches and will be held at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
All three participating teams have already qualified for the eight-team World Cup due to their standing in the ICC Women’s Championship.
