A galaxy of cricket stars, including David Warner and Glenn Maxwell, have registered for the upcoming Hundred Draft. Alongside the Australian duo, international players such as Andre Russell, Sophie Devine, Deandra Dottin, and Alyssa Healy are among the big names confirmed for the draft scheduled on March 12.
While Maxwell has participated in the tournament before, this could be Warner’s first appearance if he is selected. The Australian opener is now playing in various leagues worldwide after retiring from international cricket.
In addition to these overseas players, several notable domestic cricketers have also registered, including Jamie Overton, Sophia Dunkley, Issy Wong, Rehan Ahmed, and Reece Topley.
England legend James Anderson, who has never played in The Hundred, is also available for selection. Anderson, who will be 43 before the tournament starts, had also registered for the IPL auction last year but remained unsold. Rocky Flintoff, son of former England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff, has also registered.
All eight teams have already retained and signed some players before the draft and will now complete their squads in the upcoming draft. The tournament is set to commence on August 5th this year.
