Virat Kohli celebrated India’s Champions Trophy 2025 victory over New Zealand in Dubai by playfully engaging in a champagne celebration. This win marked Kohli’s fourth ICC title, adding to his previous victories, including the 2011 World Cup.

A video circulating on social media captures Kohli chasing teammate Rishabh Pant with a champagne bottle, a wide smile on his face. He then sprays champagne on Pant, who playfully tries to evade it. Harshit Rana then joins in, turning the tables on Kohli with his own champagne spray.

During India’s 2013 Champions Trophy win, Kohli was known for leading the celebrations with ‘Gangnam style’ dance moves and pushups.

However, before this match, Kohli had indicated he might not repeat those specific celebrations. Instead, Shreyas Iyer took on the role of showman with his own dance moves.

Later, Kohli unleashed his playful side by initiating the champagne attack on Pant.

The internet community reacted positively to the 36-year-old Kohli joining in the post-victory fun.

Kohli had a successful Champions Trophy tournament with the bat, notably scoring a century against Pakistan in a run chase and playing a crucial innings of 84 in the semi-final against Australia.

He concluded the Champions Trophy campaign with 2018 runs at a strike rate of nearly 83 in Dubai’s challenging conditions.

Kohli is now set to participate in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, aiming for his first title with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). He will feature in the opening match of IPL 2025 against Kolkata Knight Riders. Rajat Patidar will captain RCB, as Kohli did not take up the captaincy role.
