Top Indian cricketers are likely to gather in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand, for the wedding of Rishabh Pant’s sister, Sakshi Pant. The wedding events are scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday at a private location in Mussoorie. It is anticipated that prominent figures from the Indian cricket team, including Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and MS Dhoni, will be present.
Sakshi Pant is marrying businessman Ankit Chaudhary. They got engaged last year after a nine-year relationship. MS Dhoni was among the guests at their engagement party in London in January 2024.
Sakshi, who studied in the UK, is popular on social media for her travel photos and fashionable clothing.
Rishabh Pant was a member of the India team that won the Champions Trophy, where they defeated New Zealand in the final to secure their third title.
The wicketkeeper-batter survived a serious car accident in December 2022. Following several surgeries and a long recovery, he returned to cricket after more than a year and contributed to India’s T20 World Cup victory.
In his Test comeback, he scored a century against Bangladesh in September 2024, equaling Dhoni’s record for the most Test centuries by an Indian wicketkeeper.
Pant also became the most expensive player in IPL history at the 2025 mega auction, bought by Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for Rs 27 crore last November in Jeddah. He exceeded the previous record set by Punjab Kings (PBKS) who bid Rs 26.75 crore for Shreyas Iyer just minutes before.
This January, Pant was officially announced as the LSG captain for IPL 2025, which starts on March 22.
