Recent reports indicate that Indian cricket team spinner Yuzvendra Chahal and his wife, Dhanashree Verma, have initiated divorce proceedings. Rumors of their separation circulated on social media for months, and confirmation of the divorce filing emerged recently. It was reported that a court hearing took place at the Bandra Family Court, attended by both parties. However, Dhanashree’s lawyer clarified that the legal process is still in progress.
Dhanashree’s lawyer, Aditi Mohan, stated, ‘I cannot comment on the proceedings as the matter is legally under consideration. The media should verify information before reporting, as much misinformation is being spread.’
Amidst these developments, Chahal shared an enigmatic quote on Instagram on Friday: ‘It’s Chaos, Be Kind – Michelle McNamara.’
Numerous media outlets also claimed Dhanashree requested a substantial alimony of Rs 60 crore, but her family vehemently denied these claims, urging the media to refrain from spreading false information.
The family’s statement emphasized, ‘We are deeply disturbed by the unfounded allegations regarding the alimony amount. Let us be clear – no such amount has been requested, demanded, or offered. These rumors are entirely false. Publishing such unverified information is irresponsible, involving not only the individuals but also their families in needless speculation. Such reckless reporting is harmful, and we implore the media to practice restraint, verify facts before disseminating misinformation, and respect everyone’s privacy.’
Chahal recently posted on social media, expressing gratitude: ‘God has protected me countless times. I can only imagine the unseen rescues. Thank you, God, for your constant presence, even when I am unaware. Amen.’
Dhanashree also shared a message about faith on her Instagram, stating: ‘From stressed to blessed. It’s incredible how God can transform worries into blessings. If you are stressed, remember you have a choice: continue worrying or surrender to God in prayer. There is power in believing that God works for our good.’
